A cowl a day keeps the winter at bay!

I finally finished the Sweet Honeycomb cowl. It took a bit longer than I expected, as it was put on the back burner so that I could finish other WIP’s.

It has turned out to be a very nice and warm cowl, ideal for cold climes. I’m not sure our winters will be cold enough to wear it though!

The cream colour is a store-bought DK wool. The coloured sections have been knitted with hand-dyed, hand-spun wool, and the ochre centres are a wool/acrylic mix.

I used 4mm needles for the knitting. The pattern is knitted in slip stitch to get the colour skips. That is why the cream stitches look so long between the honeycombs!

It is knitted in a tube and then the two sides are grafted together using kitchener stitch, and not cast off.

It is a fun pattern to knit especially if you use multicolored wool.

The pattern is Sweet Honeycomb KAL from Interweave crafts.
